4 inline GoEngine with double actuation system

The 4 inline GoEngine with a double actuation system is probably the best option to update an existing 4 inline engine. With this layout the firing order of the engine can be kept the same, and therefore the camshafts, exhaust and balancing system don’t have to be modified.
The potential fuel and CO2 reduction is 20 to 30%.
The potential fuel and CO2 reduction modifying an excisting engine with the GoEngine VCR technology is 20 to 30%. The result depending on the quality of the combustion chamber geometry for high compression ratio.
Also the reduction of the bore size will help to improove the combustion quality.
